A £12,570 salary is a common starting point, not a universally optimal one — the right level depends on your circumstances. Directional estimate only.
Employer National Insurance at 15.0% above £5,000 is deducted before corporation tax. Dividend allowance £500, then 10.75%, 35.75% and 39.35%.
